Neste domingo, o jogador titular da Seleção Brasileira concedeu entrevista e falou sobre o seu futuro. Torcedor do São Paulo, ele não descarta um dia vestir a camisa do tricolor paulista, como também do Esporte Clube Bahia, clube pelo qual deu os primeiros passos na carreira e conquistou dois títulos da Copas do Nordeste (2001 e 2002) e um Campeonato Baiano (2001). Ele, porém, destacou que vai demorar ainda para retornar ao Brasil.
“Eu nunca digo “não” às coisas por que você não sabe o que a vida prepara. O São Paulo é meu time, o meu pai torce para o Palmeiras, não pode misturar isso senão dá confusão em casa. Torci bastante pelo São Paulo no tempo do Telê, que Deus o tenha. E o Bahia, pelo que construí aqui, seria uma forma de agradecimento voltar para encerrar a carreira. Mas não vai ser uma temporada, não. Já falei para o pessoal do Bahia que o dia em que voltar aqui vai ser um mês, dois meses, vai demorar ainda (risos). Pretendo outras coisas na minha vida, tenho outros objetivos, não digo maiores, para não pensarem que estou menosprezando os clubes que gosto. Mas acredito que tenho desafios que quero viver e mostrar para outros atletas que eles é que têm que decidir quando começa e quando acaba. Eu que vou decidir, não vai ser o futebol que vai me mandar para casa”, disse.
Com contrato encerrando no final deste mês com o PSG, Daniel Alves ainda tem o futuro indefinido. Questionado sobre qual o seu destino na próxima temporada europeia, o jogador desconversou e pregou foco na Seleção Brasileira na disputa da Copa América.
“Estou na Seleção e prefiro centrar-me no compromisso que temos agora. Foi um ano bastante duro, tive que me reinventar muito, foi muita batalha da minha parte para estar aqui e não quero estragar esse momento pensando em algo fora daqui. Sei o quanto é sofrido não poder fazer nada. Agora que posso fazer, vou aportar meu máximo aqui. Temos uma grande missão e não pode haver distração. A partir daí, a gente vê. Só posso dizer que não tenho medo de desafios, estou preparado para qualquer que seja”, finalizou.
